How rare is a vivid yellow MP5?
Just picked up my car about 2 weeks ago and love it!!!
I was just wondering just how rare is the yellow MP5? I pulled into the dealer lot, expecting to end up with a black MP5, but they had one yellow one that had just come off the truck the night before that had every option on it. It was the first thing I saw when I got out of my truck and I loved it. I drove it about 2 miles and I was sold.
I think I read somewhere that they only were making 300 vivid yellow MP5s in the first production round. Is this right? If so, how can I tell if mine was from the first production round? I'm not real sure when Mazda started selling the MP5...
Thanks,
Matt

i have a yellow P5
I had to wait two weeks for my Yellow P5. It was in Vancouver, BC. I live in Ottawa Ontario. It was worth the wait. There are only 5 in all of Ottawa so far. In the Mazda newspaper ad they use to have a pic of a yellow P5 but they had to change it to red because the yellow was hard to come by. The commercial didn't help. That's what sold me on the Yellow.

I was just wondering for now. Believe me, it won't be around long enough to be a collecters car Two weeks and I've already put 1500 miles on it. It's definitely the most fun car I have ever owned!!!!

true dat! F-U-N is what i'm talking about! but...even tho i've heard the yellow is a limited color, it's like a disease over here! in kailua, i've seen 4 dif yellows besides mine! dammit, there's a guy cruising around my town that looks almost like mine...'cept he had the dealer install rims. decals are similar (altho i'm the only "onehawaiian" here)
suckas. i think there's this old lady in honolulu who's sporting a yellow 5 too. oh well, i'm sure she has a pair of jl 15's and has her's slammed with 18" rims and ****...
maybe hawaii bought all the limited colors...?
