noise

I have the same problem only when you press the accelerator
when going 70mph and over.

I'll chime in on this one. I have had the same kind of "whining" sound since I got my pro5. I investigated it right after I got the car, and it's the "It's normal for this car." I only get it when pushing on the throttle at freeway speeds 70mph+.

At the time I determined from reading on the forums that the noise is something associated with the automatic transmission. I don't notice it as much as I used too, plus most of the time I have the music on so it just doesn't bother me as much as it used too.

The sound is coming from your windshield washer nozzles. When you go over 70mph the wind is hitting the nozzles and making them whine. Take off the cover from under your hood and tignten the nozzles.

I notice the exact same whine you appear to have (at 2200 and 3000 RPMs). It is not transmission because I can duplicate it in neutral and with the clutch pressed. I have pin pointed it to one of the accessories on the front of the engine...possibly alternator noise. I don't think it's too much to be concerned about, I've heard alternators make noises (possibly the rectifiers that convert A/C to D/C) in the past especially at certain RPM ranges. Just to be on the safe side I will have the shop take a look at it at my first oil change and let you know what I find.
