cricks and creaks and noises...

Your thoughts or suggestions please... i have a 2000 protege, it seems like when i moving slowly, say through a parking lot.. or even at speeds of about 40-45 my doors seem to rattle a bit.. sounds as if they're flexing or something... anybody have any ideas as to how to get rid of this? Also, is there a way to tighten up the swing of the door? my back doors seem to give more resistance when shutting them than my front doors and i'd like to have a little more resistance on the front doors.. thanks for the help

Could it be hinges already? I don't think so!

I don't think so but you never know.

Latch maybe?

Door rubber seals?

It is normal for cars to creak. There is nothing you can do about it, so dont waste your time. That is what you get when you buy a small, cheap car. I hate it in my car, so I turn up the music.

You can get rid of some rattles with things like Dynamat and polyfill. Try stuffing your doors with polyfill. Keep it out of the way of the window track of course. Then put dynamat on any bare metal you can get to. Or use the cheaper alternatives like fatmat or raammat (search on Google).

yeah this has been an issue with the proteges for a while, i have a 99 and it does it, you can try and stuff the doors a bit, but it might not work, good luck with it. parts just get worn, and rattle a bit.
