Brake noises, need help.

I have an 02 P5 and here lately, who knows it could have been going on for longer, I hear a rubbing type brake noise when I'm driving slowly. The car only has 13,000 miles on it. The noise stops when I hit the brakes. It's easily heard when driving along side a wall or something. It's not bad and it's not a squeal it's just like something rubbing, almost like how the rotors sound when there was moisture on them in the morning, except this doesn't go away.

It's very annoying. Any ideas? Also, what's the warranty on brakes?

your discs may a little warped. when it comes to brakes, warranty usually does not cover it because it is a wear and tear item but in your case with the low milage you should be able to get it replaced. good luck

Not good, took it back into the dealer and they said they could not hear anything or hear what I was hearing.

They wanted to charge me for a brake inspection if I wanted them to procede any further with my car. I got jacked around basically. I've already taken further action. Better Business Bureau and more.

just so u know BBB does absolutely nothing

even people who complain about my dad's business about him not coming in on the weekend just for them call the BBB and they just send him a letter or something stupid.

Anyways, Is your car an automatic? I noticed this on old automatic cars sometimes and its not the brakes. I think its what you're describing.

It is automatic and I wouldn't say it's old. It has 13,000 miles on it and is a 2002.

Also, BBB did wonders for me before. They at least get the dealer involved and they have to respond or get a negative rating.

That's why i don't go to the delaer anymore. they like to charge for just looking at it and then find nothing wrong with it. I don't think it's bad enough to get the BBB involved unless they TREATED you badly. i mean they should get paid for doing the work. IMHO

Haven't painted anything.

I just got a call from the dealer today, they want to re-evaluate the situation! LOL, we'll see.

Funny deal, took it back to the dealer and they said after driving it again for the 5th time they could see no problems, but they decided to turn the rotors and put new front brake pads on it for me for free. Heck of a deal huh? Anyways, that fixed it.
