CAI good for Cali weather?

Is CAI good for California weather? I mean with the flash storms and flooding that we sometimes get...... how likely will it be for water to get sucked in?
Or should I just stick with AEM short ram?
what do you people use or what is your experience?

Flash storms and floods? Where do you live? Humbolt?
Unless you completely submerge your air filter, you don't have to worry about hydrolock. The bypass valve saps power, so if I were you, I'd save a couple bucks and get the AEM sri. I don't think there's much, if any, difference in power output, and they both look/sound killer!

i was thinkin the same thing last night. but from what i understand if u buy an injen u can pull the cai part off an use it as a sri.. and besides if u look at your car where the filter actually goes.. i dont see much water going in there unless your streets are prone to flooding.

newsflash.

if you can't see the road under the water don't try
to drive through it.

otherwise don't worry about. We get rain what 40-60
days a year and out of that maybe 5-10 days are heavy?

I live in San Diego and I'll go with the Injen, but man we got a storm in here the last 2-3 days, and I've never seen this much rain here in the last 12 years I've lived here. But my Pro5 survived going into a good 1 ft deep of water, I don't have any intake but it was sure worriesome either way.

I guess we've been getting lucky in Santa Cruz, just a liitle cloudy.
We have been getting some big swell, though.
