I just moved to Nor-Cal from Buffalo,NY . i have some questions. what is legal to put on your car in this state? can i put a high-flow cat and still pass emisions. what about headers or a turbo? there so damn picky out on the west coast.

Welcome to nor-cal. With a high flow cat, you can still pass emmissions. For the headers and turbos they need to be carb legal, if they arent they wont pass the visual inspection for smog. But you can still put not carb legal parts on, just swap them out and put the stock parts back when you need to smog, which is every 2 years. The DMV has a handbook for around $10 with all the vehicle codes or you could search their site. If you need more info let me know.
