thanks for your help

You can add parts, but they won't give you much unless you go turbo.

The 1.6l sucks a$$. I know.

Everyone thanks for your help i was planing on buying CAI and headers, but most of you seem to think that it would not be worth my money. So i was wondering if maybe someone has some good news about the 1.6L and maybe if anyone has done a engine swap with this motor, was it hard to do? was it worht it? and anything think else that would be helpful thank you guys again.

Stick around during summer. I just bought a 1.8l and since I'm changing my transmission, I figured I might as well switch the engine too.
BUT, I'm not trying to make this car fast anymore, just to make it more reasonable and less fustrating to drive around.

The MSP engine is just a 2.0 w/ a turbo basically. A few changes, but nothing huge.

Unless you come across a recked MSP, you won't be able to get the actual MSP engine. Can't get it from the dealer either. Plus as small as that turbo is, I think it'll be a big waste of money.

you can swap a 1.8 in and get what, 15 more HP?

if your that frustrated because your car is so slow, it would make the most sense to sell it and buy something faster.

The Ex civic is a 1.6 sohc vtec. And 1500-2000 for a t-25 turbo, manifold ,downpipe, gauges ,intercooler and such should pump u to 180 hp bringing u into the 14's :-)

I dynoed at 77hp

The 1.8l there dynoed at 100hp. Plus a few ppl who have dynoed their 1.8 averaged around 100hp.

So I figure at least 20hp more. Plus since I'm switching my trans., got the engine at a good price, and my friend is doing the swap, I might as well.
