2.0 Liter CAI

I know this has probably been answered before... But Would anyone recomend putting a CAI on a 2.0 liter Mazda3 ?? Have heard that I can damage my engine because the 2.0 liter wasn't intended to operate with a CAI.. Any help would be aprreciated.. And which brand should I get if so..

Thanks

No not true. The 2.3 is just more displacement because of increased bore in the cylinder. However your engine/performance won't increase quite as much as if you had the 2.3L. Fitment should also be compatible. Honestly IMO Brand isn't a huge deal...Injen, AEM etc. Even a generic if it is smoothed out and has good welds wouild do just fine. I'd suggest exhaust as well though since it may bottleneck the increased airflow and therefore the exhaust port flow. Again, parts for the 3 are fairly cheap (after coming from an Audi S4 that was stolen), so go with a 2.5" pipe for less restriction - I still say generic is fine.
