The reason it shakes is because makes shitty engine mounts. I have a front mount insert that helps but due to my "aggressive driving style" I think I've torn the rear mount. I'll be switching to front and rear AWR's here shortly. That should all but eliminate that wiggle.

The exhaust is the OBX header and ms muffler...everything else is stock. stock intake manifold and the intake is one I made for the supercharger.

Johnnie, you shoulda come down and seen it in person! I'll try to get it hosted somewhere else though for ya.

glad to hear that. This will most likely only be sold in GB's of 5 or more in order to keep the cost down to a very competitive level. I also would rather take 2 weeks and just hammer out everything instead of spending all of my random free time working on a single kit.

Look out in the near future for some further updates about new pieces to be included in the final kit.

...So youve decieded on privately selling it yourself and not selling it powerdyne?

And now that you brought up (on the other forum )the good point of getting the big stuff out of the way first, I could probably get the money sooner than expected rather than spending money here and there on the smaller things! But be sure to keep us updated as always!

I was upset with the low peak numbers but having 80% of max torque at 2K rpms is nice I guess. Dave and I were shooting for a 6psi pulley with the math we did but ended up with 4.5psi. So I guess my original estimates were pretty close.

Tuning is a MAJOR part of this. I think the power level I'm at right now will be perfect for the automatic guys. By tuning the upper range (4K+) I'll pick up another 15whp or so. I think for the manual guys I'm just going to leave this map the same and add some more boost. 7psi should just about do it!

question for possible MP3 buyers of ur kit. since VTCS isnt on the MP3 and us having to switch the ECU's out what is a way to keep the CEL from comming on for the VTCS or is there something that we could change on the stock ecu so we dont have to worry about it?

do u think it would be good if we were to upgrade our motor mounts if our cars were to be womped or would the stockers be sufficient

yeah for automatics!!! just kidding, but its cool to know. I think if the WOMP can be tuned for 180-200whp for the automatics and keep boost around 4.5-6 psi, I'll be a happy camper. This is getting so tasty! Man I got to decide WOMP, or trip to Japan this year, hehe.

TDRP, I don't know about any CEL you're talking about having. I heard something a while ago about someone who used a MP3 intake manifold on their non-mp3 and it threw a CEL but it had nothing to do with the ECU. I've used the mp3 ecu on several non-mp3 cars with no problems at all.

Pro5ver, yes motor mounts are a very wise investment. IMO I'd also get both front and rear. It's been my personal experience that after driving aggressivly on the front mount I've torn my rear mount so now it's back to stock feel again. Nobody will care about the slight vibration idle when you get about 3-4psi on the engine!

Digitalpro5, I think the problem with the automatics is the torque, not the hp. If my torque stays about 15% less than HP then I should be ok with 180whp-165lb-ft. That should be very nice for a daily driver.

Yeah, what hes saying is kind of confusing, what I personally think hes asking is will getting a new ecu throw a CEL by not detecting the VTCS on the MP3. but TDRP, if your getting the SC youll probably want the Haltech F10X or E6X for better timing and the ability to greater tune it, so I dont think getting one of them will throw a CEL by not detecting the VTCS because I dont think its really looking for it....I could be wrong, and Matty, your answer could be what hes looking for but who knows, his wording was kinda shotty, TDRP, if you havent gotten your answer, just restate your question a little clearer...just trying to help!
Later.

I think he means using a P5 ECU in an MP3. It throws a CEL because there is no VTCS solenoid.

oh....typically it would throw a cel but it's not a "limp mode activating" problem. Also with the Haltech you will not retain CEL codes after you shut the car off. This also keeps the ecu from learning and adapting your closed loop maps.

That reminds me of a question... Are the modified maps stored in the Haltech indefinitely or will they be deleted by disconnecting the battery. I'm assuming that since you said you would ship them with base maps (correct me if i'm wrong) that it has independent memory.

So, do you have a release date or price guesstimate for us checking this out? I mean this looks promising but it would be nice to have some sort of a range to be ready for and my a date.
