it has a flashable eprom onboard so it holds the files in memory even when there is no power.

F3Z, it looks like we're going to do a full retail kit for about $3200 including the OBX header. For those not needing the heade there will be a discount on checkout. GB pricing will released once I've got the final numbers from my suppliers.

So the big thing with the MP3 and boost is the advanced timing from the ECU. Will it be less of an issue with a supercharger (especially WOMP) due to lower intake charge temperatures, than say, a turbo kit? I'm starting to get over the no AC thing, and this kit seems quite sweet

I didn't even know cars in Wisconsin even had AC!! jk, Yeah the advanced timing makes it more prone to detonation no matter what type of FI you're running. On the plus side...I know of 3 people on this forum alone who are looking to pay good money to swap ecu's with mp3 owners....

Well, I'm not so concerned about AC, as I am about defrosting in the winter. **** builds up easy in the cold, and I could see it being REAL annoying. If I do this, maybe someone will be happy with an ECU

I've not had ANY problems with my defroster this winter....we had several sub-freezing mornings and it was never an issue for me. Defrosters worked for a long time before someone decided to link them to the AC....also, most protege owners I talk to actually disconnect the AC from their defrost....i dunno why...i guess to keep the ac from kicking on when driving.

Yeah, you wont have ANY problems selling (swapping) your ecu.

So when do you think this thing is going to go primetime? I'd love to start saving some cash.

i would say to start saving now. I'm doing the final tuning now (for the low-boost / automatic kits) and when I get it finalized I 'll post final pricing and package contents.

I'm REALLY wanting to have everything ready for the first GB at the end of next month.

Hmm. You say "first GB" like there'll be a second. Is that true? End of March might be a little hairy as I have two vacations during that time I booked and need to pay for. I'd love to see a GB in the late spring or early summer . Also, will there be more than one pulley size with the kit? 4.5psi seems dandy to me to start with, but more would be nice down the road.

"gimme sugar baby!"

Yeah, in order to keep prices down to what I feel is a great range I'll need to sell these in MINIMUM of 5 at a time. The discounts for 10+ are very nice so we might wait a month or so to get up 10+ in the first GB. Just depends on what the market asks for.

I have no clue man. there will be several options when you go to buy a kit....you'll basically order a base kit and check off what extras you need. Give me a few more weeks to work things out wand we'll talk again.
