Spark plug wires and coils

Does anybody know where to get a coil conversion kit or something so i can run normal wires instead of the funky coils on top of the valve covers.

you want to switch from a DIS ignition to a distributor?? you'd need to buy a 2nd gen 626/probe and get their whole engine, harness and ecu.

no no no you know how the coils on the 3rd gen are right on top of the plugs well a while back protege garage had a coil conversion kit to move the coils from there to the side of the valve cover, i want to do this so i can run performance plug wires along with iridium plugs. Is that better

they're nology wires and chris might have some. he had them on sale a while back. as for plugs, i'd go with nology plugs since they were designed for the nology system. iridium plugs in my experience have been a complete waste of money. perhaps with the DIS, you don't see many gains from it, but in terms of performance and mpg, i've seen 0 improvement. it was a waste of $45.

The stock equipment is already overkill. It throws enough spark to power much more than our little 130 hp.

you can use your stock coils all you have to do is make a bracket to mount the two coils to the motor and get normal wires. The stock coils is more then enought. Thats what i did, sorry no pics. You might also want to check out the 99-00 pro with the 1.8L, they have the coils mounted on bracket on the side of the valve cover.

I've seen several people say they have had problems with the Nology wires.
