Plug wires and spark plugs

Hi,
I need to change my plug wires.
Is there a certain tye of plug wires that i could get to improve performance, or would the ordinary factory ones be just fine?

Also, is there any performance spark plugs out there to boost performance or is the factory ones just fine as well?

Ordinary plugs and wires are just fine unless you plan on doing a lot of mods to your car. I have irdium plugs and aftermarket wires and there is no difference in performance. In theory I suppose I am getting some better gas milage and a fraction of a hp gain, but it's not enough to notice any change.

Stick with the NGK wires.
Also get the ZFR5F-11 NGK copper plugs.

I have the Magnecor 8.5mm wires and NGK ZFR5F-11 extended reach plugs, good combination IMO, I believe the NGKs are the best for our cars and certainly the best price, I have uses both NGK and Dens iridiums and platinum plugs and the Bosch +4s, the extended reach run the best, I change mine every six months and still save over the other brands.

with our dis coils, it is a waste to get anything bigger than stock wires. as for plugs, the stock ones are good, as are the extended reach ones. don't waste your money on the iridiums. it's all hype and no *****.

Are there 4 plug wires in the Magnecor set? Pictures show only 2. Also, where did you order from? Thanks!

Only two wires with Magnecor as well. To my knowledge, the only 4 wire set for the 3rd Gen 2.0L is from Nology.

just two wires. the other two are the coils right over the spark plug, so those don't get replaced. for $80, two itty bitty wires for no gains is hardly worth it. if you want red wires, just get in with someone with a big v-8 who went with msd wires and use their leftovers. it works just the same.
