Well guys i've tried everything and nothin works i just dont get it i did the seal thing and no luck still studdering and its annoying as hell it feels just like it did when my MAF went out except there is no check engine light. I know the Maf is good cause its brand new and the car was running great till i put on the CAI!!!! So i guess the damn thing is gonna have to come off and the stock air box is going back on. Great sound but not worth the power it is robbing. Too bad for me i guess. I dont know why my car is different from any other 1.6 it only has 53,000 miles and has no problems what so ever. Any other Ideas?

how long have you had it on the car????? if is a short time, the car my still be getting used to the increased air, also try and convert it to a short ram, and see if that corrects it, just as a test.

Are you guys talking about the quality of the seal between the rubber couplers and the MAF?

If so, what if you taped (scotch or duct tape?) the edges of the MAF and put a bead of silicone between the MAF and the couplers?

no tape...even the intake gets too hot for tape to continue to stick..the silicone isn't a bad idea though

Just a quick question....what exactly is the benefit of powdercoating the intake? Additionally, is there any way I can do it myself?

I tried the innertube MAF fix but I couldn't keep the damn thing inflated!
Now why are you trying to keep it inflated???
