I think What Jesse is saying is if you run the Injen with the AEM bypass..you will lose 2 to 3 hp off of the initial hp increase from using the CAI.

Am I wrong Jesse?

isn't the 1.6l's throttle body the same as the 1.8's? if so use the 1.8l's short ram.

cai

so the injen cai does add a significant amount of horsepower what like maybe 6-8 hp since the aem bypass will take 3hp from you . Why do you lose hp if the bypass valve is closed i could see losing hp with the bypass valve is open to protect from water but oh well . And can i use the 1.8l short ram like mentioned above?

its not really a valve but a sponge thingy the absorbs water and channels it out of the intake.
