Trans oil

98 LX 5-speed 110,000 miles. want to replace trans oil w/ Mobil-! 75-90, rated GL-4/5 as shown in owner manual. Any reason NOT to?

cost....mobil1 is good stuff but if you're going to spend that much money you should look into a nice "Redline" or "royal purple" gear oil. I like them a lot better.

Royal Purple or Neo are my choices...a lot of guys on the miata board swear by GM Syncromesh, too.

i've never used syncromesh but i've also heard it's great.
