damn!!! this thread is still up? since i started this thread here's my opinion. there is noway in hell i would buy a FORD especially escort. when i found out that my 323 bp motor has the same motor w/ the escort i was hella disappointed...i did some research and fount out its a Mazda motor not Ford so its cool. Now if u have an escort it better be a gt if it aint forget it u can put that engine on the garbage. About the protege lx. ahh...the body is aight but not all that. 323 well i got one and i dont like the suspension, the rear, cheap *** interior, but then again i will still be able to smoke an EGT. i just did on my way home.

Yes this thread is still going. Its nice to see your a dick because u want proof a protege can run mid 15's even though its the same car as the EGT. IMO i like the look of the protege and escort. Im not a fan of how the STOCK 323's look they need the midhatch spoiler. But when they are modded like Highbodys it looks awesome

i run 15.5 with 35 bucks worth of mods in my 91 EGT. so i figure that is pretty damn stock. look backa few pages you will see my slips with a mod list.

I'm building a Ford Pinto drag car, and I drove it home with a flat cam lobe on the stock engine, therefore it was only running on 3 cylinders. That's about 50-60 hp.
