i know there is one out there that fits the LX (G5M-R/G25M-R) maybe from the SOHC DX Protege. He's on this list, Hot Pink MX3 Dave is his name. Hopefully he will chime in, as he can tell you all you need to know.

I believe he's talking about taking the actual 5th gear out of the gearbox and put it in his LX gearbox.

what i dont like about lx box is that when u cruise around 80 mph u doing like around 4000 rpms.it will also raise top speed before i run out of rpms.i just want to swap 5th assembly.

most i dont like is that rpm are too high and on second place is that i raced a dsm and i had it till 140 mph and i ran out of rpms so i dont like that to happen again.
i will do some reaserch on that mx6 trans
thanks

2G MX-6 V6 has 4.11 final gearing
93-97 626 V6 has 4.11 final gearing, but a longer 5th gear than the MX6/PGT/MX3/Protege/EGT.
