Yeah I lost control going around the corner in a slippery corner and
abs kicked in and I couldn't stop. I just slid sideways into the curb
with my right passenger side rim. I drove it home and it doesn;t seem like it is out of balance. Hitting the curb left a long 3" gash on the outside lip of the rim. Do you guys think I should get it checked out?

 

My wife did the same thing to my 92 protege lx. Never had a problem with it after. You could get the balance chked or just do a high speed run. No shimmy, no problem. Watch the tire for abnormal wear, or if the car pulls, get it aligned. Best of luck.
