Unhappy

Sorry to hear about your bumper. Yeah, I scraped the curb last week with my front right wheel while trying to parallel park duing a heavy traffic time. Took a minor chunk out of one of the spokes on the wheel. Sucks. Not that bad but you do notice it when you are close. I don't want to file it doen becasue I don't want to take off the clear coat/finish and possible burt the wheel.

Oh-well......I always bitch at my girlfriend becasue she hits the curb all the time and her rims are ruined on her 01 Sentra GXE. She has not seen my scrape yet and she night not. I will just have to blame someone else.......

isnt that funny??? Our women scrape their finger and we give them a bandaid but if there's a scrape on the car it's an episode of ER; we can't get the damn thing to the body shop fast enough.

I think the reason for that is the cars never bitch if we are late or lazy. You can also ride them hard for weaks without any complaints.

boy someone added a few smilies!!

Hahahah

Well I got my car in november 2001... a brand new 2002 es.. well it was christmas day at like 7 in the morning and i was leaving my boyfriends house to go home... well i was parked in the driveway and his brothers car was behind me. so it went.. the garage, me and then my boyfriends brothers car... well i started to do the 3 point turn and it looked like i could clear the brick wall.... well was i wrong...so the left bumper scraped the wall. When i got to my house i looked at the damage... and there was some deep WHITE scrapes on my nice BLACK car.... I never did get it fixed.. I went to Mazda about 2 months ago and they want $200 to fix it. If you go to my website you can kind of see the scrape when you enlarge the picture...I'm a dumb ***!! hahha

Hey Babygirl,

Are you talking under the front left flood night? Looks like it might be there.....difficult to see with the glare and reflections. If that is where it is, maybe you could fix it yourself. Screw the dealer wanting to charge you $200. Oh-well, hate it when things like this happen.......I was rushing trying to part when I caught my rim on the curb. Traffic was bad and I was trying to get into a small space on a main road........should watch where I am going i guess?

Yeah well I was half asleep when I hit the wall!! No need to fix the bumper...Getting my bodykit put on monday. Also scraped one of my stock rims( which i like by the way). I was coming out of my works parking lot and it has a wicked *** side walk thing. i turned and hit it!! heehhee. But it doesnt much matter since Mazda f*cked the rest of my other ones up when the balanced and rotated my tires!! WHAT ARE DEALERSHIPS GOOD FOR THESE DAYS??!!! Oh and they put a knick in my roof that is down to the metal and it kinda rusted.....!! what am i gonna do!!!

Lightbulb Wheel scrapes

Well I also scraped one of my tires against a curb while I was making a sharp right turn. Some of the clear coat and metal was scraped just off the edge of them rim. In stead of freaking out I just got some rubbing compound, cleaned the dirt out of the scrapes and then painted it with silver touch up paint that I had for my silver car. Surprisingly the silver touch paint is very close in color with the stick rims. I hope this will help.

Hey Baby, for the hole in the roof. Get a peice of sandpaper and put it on the tip of a pencil and sand out all the rust (you shuold also sand off all the paint around the rust too). Then go to Mazda and buy color matched touch-up paint and clear coat. Together it shouldnt cost more than $15. Then paint over the bald spot on the car with the paint and let it dry. Keep adding coats and allowing to dry till the color matches as closely as possible. Then use the clear coat to seal in the paint.

You will prolly still notice the spot you painted so if you want it done perfect you might want to fork over the $100 or whatever the cost to a body shop. I just prefer the cheap way for any spots smaller than a pencil eraser.

Oh wah... I dont see the reason for all the fuss over STOCK wheels... go buy some expensive chrome wheels, then I would understand why it would suck to get a ding in them...
