Kargoboy's new rims.
just wanted to bump this thread because I'm actually taking my powdercoating work a little more seriously now (in an attempt to actually make money at it). I'm merging with a local guy here who is getting into the ceramic coating as well. Between the two of us we should be able to do whatever anyone needs. I promise I'll give you a great price on stuff just realize that shipping is expensive on wheels (unless you're willing to go greyhound!). I can do anything from small engine brackets to motorcycle frames, etc. We have 2 ovens and 2 uv lamp systems. 2 buffer/polishers and enough GM factory powder to turn out our own corvette.
Dang it...it just needs to be close enough of a blue for the wheels.
But, for the valve cover, I think I may have you do a two-tone (actually 3 tone)
(SPOON)Yellow//(Satin)Silver//(Gloss)Black//...just like that, 3 stripe diagonal.
And of course you'll get the ca$h money...no questions asked.

um...2-tone is tricky enough....3-tone?? that'll take some work...you know the cover isn't flat right? diagnol stripes on a ridged piece like that is going to look way funny. I'd think....
yes but what you dont realize is that you can't tape it to where the lines come off straight like that because the cover has a lot of raised and lowered ridges....the lines won't be straight.
also, doing something like that is 3 times the work. I can do it but just so you know it's 3 times harder not to mention the extra time and glass tape and stuff I'll have to use.

Shoot, i didn't think about that.....2-tone *may be* easier and more realistic though?
I'm going to try and get my old engine valve cover & sand it down (well, the letters) for a flat surface area.
