Are these the new guages that have the bigger holes and are supposed to be easier to install without breaking the needles???

How'd I know you were gonna ask that??

I replaced all traces of amber in my HVAC (except the HU which will eventually be replaced)

Wasn't difficult, but took a long time to get it right. Coupla tries later and it looks pretty damn slick!! Hardest part was pulling the center console out without damaging the dash.
How about a how-to on how you did it Sandman? I think that would be a fun spring/summer project as I've really wanted my interior lights to be blue all along(mmm love the interior of the VW's!)

No problem, but you're gonna have to wait till I get my new HU cuz I'm not gonna pull my dash apart without good reason. It's a pain in the ***...

I took some pictures when i did it the first time, but upon getting them developed, they look like *** so I didn't bother posting them. When I do it again, I'll also have a digital camera so I'll be able to tell if the pictures i'm taking suck or not.

Anyway, keep checking in and one day you'll see my how to!

In the meantime we'll just hassle you with questions about the technique you used to do it!

I like that idea!!! I wouldn't mind the blue reverse indiglo for my car either, as it would match my deck as well...

BTW someone please clear this up for me as Im confused...with these reverse indiglos, the blue and red will show up, and not the orange/amber that are currently lighting up our stock gauges?
or is there some type of mod that we have to do to get the blue lights?
