Indiglo gauge wiring
Indiglo gauge wiring
Just a quick question to everyone that has indiglo gauges installed. I have mine wired up to my headlight switch (green/black wire I believe) and I have a problem with them coming on all the time. Sometimes I have to flick the switch back and forth off an on in order for them to actually light up, and at first I thought I had a bad ground but today I rewired the ground to a screw that attaches directly into the body right behind the fog light switch inside the side pannel, so it's metal on metal (pretty solid ground I believe). I'm pretty sure the power connection is fine because when they light up they stay on for good .. no flickering or shutting off at all. Now I just wanna know if these gauges just straight up suck or if I have a wiring problem. Thanks.
Sounds like a bad ground to me....but it could also be a crappy wiring job.
The cure?
Disconnect them and test them out on your battery (you'l know then if it's a connex or gauge problem). Once you see they are good (or bad) redo it again. If the same thing happens, you'll know it's def. a wiring/ground problem.
Good luck dude, let us know!
