OK, I spoke to Andy today and I feel quite a bit better about the situation. I guess Nick didn't pass along any of the group buyers info. to him.

One of my BIGGEST bitches about this situation with Nick is/was why the honest word that he was actually in lock-down didn't come out instead of some sad *** story that his dad was sick or some ****......wtf...

At any rate, I feel better about it all and look forward to the delivery.

BTW, the flanges are laser cut, not CNC (as some people I had chatted and/or PM'ed with) thought. I thought they were after seeing some better pics.

Yeah, I mentioned from the start that everything was laser cut...that was part of the initial delay...the laser cutter through away part of the flange.

Everything will be taken care of guys. Just have a little patience. Custom pieces like this always take a little longer.

I think most of us have had a LOT of patience with this....my problem with this is that some of us have spent alot of money here and we cant even get a date when they think these are going to be done?

no, sorry. I can't give you a date. Everything at the shop got turned upside down in one swoop. I wish I knew better but I don't.

I've seen these headers in person and they are AWESOME. I understand it's been a few weeks but it'll be worth the wait.

Thumbs down

A rant follows....two things:

1) I would like a tracking number emailed to me as soon as one is generated. Considering the hassle this has turned into, I'd prefer this..

2) This will probably be the last group buy that I get involved with that requires some sort of "unproven" setup. Will all due respect to Andy and Wagnermotorsports, this has turned into a cluster ****.

Matty, I appreciate your effort in this, but something has been lacking thru. all of this.

Communication (or honest communication that is) is that lacking item.

The fact that we were told that Nick was in the hospital or his father was instead of the reality that he himself was in jail makes me feel rather lied to.

I'm looking forward to the header; however, if I had to do this all over again, I would have gone with the additional price (and better quality?) of the Essential Speed header....

Needless to say, I'm overall disappointed in this G/B.

/rant

first off D, watch the language.

Secondly, I'll be more than happy to get you a tracking number as soon as it ships. This isn't a problem at all. All you had to do was ask.

Thirdly, I never once lied to you about anything. You're taking information from people on other forums and making it sound like it's coming from me. That is NOT the case. Feel free to go back and read every post I've made about this and not once will you see anything about Nick other than "now that he's gone andy is backed up horribly". This is the truth.

Fourth, I have not seen the Essential speed header in person. It looks like a piece of crap in pictures though. I'm not saying it is but it looks horrible and I would rather have the stocker than that thing. If you feel so strongly about this you could very easily sell your wagner header for $285 and come up with ANOTHER $215+shipping to buy the ES piece. I'm sure you won't have any problems findind someone to buy Andy's header from you since they are so hard to get right now. Actually I think Natey was wanting one.

Lastly, I'm sorry you're dissappointed in the GB. I really am. This was a way for me to offer some sort of exclusive offer/pricing to THIS forum only. Apparently Nick or someone took orders from the other forum AFTER we had agreed I'd be the only one selling these for them. I didn't do this to make money. I wish I had because we sold a total of 9 pieces totaling over $2300 and I sure could've used a piece of that. I will do everything in my power to make sure a delay like this doesn't happen again. Although, for future reference, there was nothing in my power I could've done about this particular situation. No'one saw this coming.

I hope everyone else is happy with their product when it comes in. I'll be sure to have Andy send me/you tracking info as soon as they ship.

i know i will be tickled when i get my header!! i'm still excited!! I understand things happen and can cause delays.. as long as we're kept in the loop and updated, i don't mind it.. i know the header will be here sooner or later.

i do wish sooner than later though.. hahaha.

Matty, I'm not venting at you. I realize it's not your fault, and yeah, I am going by what I've read on the other forums.

I didn't intend to make seem I was pissed at you...

I'm just frustrated at the entire situation overall - maybe I'll be thrilled to death once it comes in.

My apologies again. I'll stay quiet from here-on out.

it's cool. no need to stay quiet. I just wish you'd place blame where blame is due. Andy didn't know the laser-cutter was going to throw away his flanges and push everything back 2 weeks. He also didn't know that Nick was taking in orders without his permission. Also he didn't know Nick would be gone and stick this huge workload entirely on him.

These things were out of my control and out of Wagner's also. Sorry, if it sounds like I got bent out of shape. I just read what people say on the other forums and it bothers me how much crud is slung Wagner's way and how his name has been run through the mud. Then people like Chas come on here and bad-mouth Andy's product to newbies.......makes me angry to see how much blame is missplaced.

Matty,

Agreed. Again all apologies; I did get carried away and I don't troll the forums enough to know who's legit and who's not (when speaking about vendors, etc). Sometimes I'll read something and I'll take it at face value.

I understand that things arise. I'm in service and I know how it is to have things just go wrong altogether....that entire thing with Nick kinda put me over the edge on it.

Again, I know it's nothing of your fault or Andy's.....

Peace
