Went to the races Part 4...

Well I went back. Last night just wasn't my night though. My driving skillz were **** last night. My 1st race, skills didn't matter, cause I raced a Spoon tuned Civic hatch. You can guess the outcome of that one (I knew before hand going into it) . Lost by 2 carlengths. Right after that, the cops started showing up, so it was time to get ghost. While leaving, I noticed about 7-8 squad cars headed toward where we were just at. At the next location, I raced a 1st gen Neon Coupe that had just won against some other car. Got em coach! This was my only win from a stop.

After that, I raced a seemingly inocent Accord, except before we got to the line, I kept hearing this little whine from the engine, but I dissmissed it. We get to the line, and take off. I pull out front, and stay there. Just when I am about to turn on my flashers at the top bottom of 4th gear, he pulls past me, and gets ahead by a car. On the turnaround, I tell him nice run, and asks what he has. He has a T3 Turbo. Should have been warry of the whine.

Next few races I raced that Spec V that I have previously beaten:
First race: We line up, and at take off, we are even, and then I shift to 2nd, and it doesn't go in! The crowd is like, "OoOOhhh!" when they hear the grinding.

Second Race: On the way back to the starting line, there is another Spec V owner on the sidelines taking ****...Taling about, "Park that ****!...Smart *** Protege." They accually though I was spraying. Whatever. He didn't race, cause he would have lost. The Spec V owner I was racing even told me that thay guy can't drive. We line up, and there is this Civic on the line with us. I hear a snear/joke from the crowd, "Why is he racing agian...oops did I say that out loud!?" What an assclown! Anyway... We take off, and the Civic gets left way back. Me and the Spec V are neck and neck, and then at the top of 3rd, he redlines the hell out of it, and pulls up by a wheel. He turns on the flashers. I started regaining, and just when I was passing, and turnin on mine, he lets off. On the turn around, I realize just how much I want that exhaust, and to loose my CATS. We decide to go from 30 MPH, and I get a small victory.

I pull over and talk to the **** talkers, and they were all like we were just playin...it's fast. About that time someone said that "One Time" was waiting up on the bridge, and that backup was probably on the way. I didn't wait for the chaos. If it was anything like the last location... I went home. Looks like I better stay away for a while because the cops are on to the Tuesday night thing now.

A couple of things:
1. I need exhaust and a boost controller. A standalone would be nice.
2. I need to practice to find a lanuch that's best for me, and possibly a shift light somewhere.
3. People who talk **** from the sidelines are assclowns!!!

I think the mod he had last night was a better driver, and no passengers!

Ok, I figured out one of my problems. I was leaving work this morning and discovered the returning Exhaust leak. After I tightened up everything, my power went back up to normal. I think the exhaust leak played a part in my bad night, though small at the time.

Ninja,

Just curious, have you dynoed your car? You have quite a list of modifications, so I am wondering what kind of performance you are getting. Also, have you taken your car to a track? If so what were your times?
