shifting doesnt matter as much as the launch. the Si is tricky to launch. here is a page full of timeslips for ya. BTW, your friend wasted money on the AEM fuel rail. You dont need an upgrade fuel rail until you start pushing alot of extra horsepower from nitrous or boost. Its pretty much eyecandy for your friend.

ok boys

I have a 2000 civic si, yes i know not the fastest car in the world but hey its nice.

Now my car ran stock! 1st time i have ever raced it at the track a 15.783@88.68mph 100% stock

now i have a few more mods but havent gone back racing waiting for my clutch to be put in.

Now you said the si had nos, my fellow csi member is correct you cant have 100 shot unless the engine is built for it, the most i have seen a si run was 75 on stock internals and bolt ons

You have a Protege and you are talking crap about civics hahahaha, who has a bigger market for parts hmmm we do, how many civic vs Proteges do you see at the track, how many drag cars are Proteges

my point is dont talk about thing you cant back up.

and that race story is BS and those guys are just messing with you, you think a Protege would bet a si stock haha your crazy let alone a guy with a "100 shot"

grow up and remember telling fake storys on some message board doesnt make you cool, just makes u a dick

*Eric* then your friend cant drive

I don't know where the hell these mags get these sub 16 second 1/4 mile times from. The dood who owns that Si KNOWS HOW TO SHIFT!! I've ran a 16.7 and wouldn't lie about that. My car is supposed to run a 16.5 stock.... which sounds about right since i'm not a professional test driver. I've beaten some Si's and have gotten beaten by some Si's.....same with integras. I've driven every generation of the civic EX and the 94+ LS integra and GSR. They are more powerful than my car but the EX isn't. LACK OF TORQUE in those 1.6's is what i'm blaming it on. The Si's could beat my *** any day of the week on the highway..b/c they have MUCH MORE top end, but at a stop light, i'm going to have the upper hand over the 1.6's.
yea the si doesnt have dick for low end but we do top end thats y when you race a si you launch 4k and up to get the power, and slip the clutch out after that shift at 8k lands back at 6k then up to 8k under you win or lose

actually he did say the guy with the 100 shot beat him. me and my buddy RZR SHRP, yes he is a good friend of mine, will get you a timeslip from a real Si with a 100 shot as soon as he gets his valvetrain upgrade to handle that shot. Right now he is running a NX 75 shot on it and it fricking hauls ***. But back to the "kill" story....its still a load of BS.

Dave (RZR) is the moderator for our nitrous forum so he knows what he is doing. He's gonna be beefing up the valve train and internals to take on the 100 shot.

Thumbs down you= ghey

rant

i live in dallas what road were you racing on, actually what road and city.

i can attest to all you mazda believers that their are no 5 lane roads in dallas!

also that no stock b16a is going to handle any nos thats more than 75 shot.

these civics could not have been actual 99-00 civic si with dohc.

hes done nothing but try to back his **** up but this story is clearly bullshit.

awnser me these questions!
1. what specific roads
2. what city
3. what colors were these si's
4. hatchbacks or coupes

if you want to race me im more than game all i have on my car right now is a header. i guarentee you i will blow your *** away.

i also ran a 15.5 in my si stock (with new tires)

put some money where your mouth is.
email me if u want to set something up brandonr_tsp@hotmail.com

Whoa whoa whoa...back up, Chuck.

I don't think this forum itself is lame, but let's be realistic here. If someone is spouting off about something that is OBVIOUSLY not the truth, are you going to let them get away with it? That's not cool, and it's not conducive to an atmosphere that is SUPPOSED to be about sharing together and learning through experience and human interraction. No one's really flaming, but merely stating the truth.

It's **** like you who go around looking at all the other car makes and models looking for stories that don't sound right so you can bring all your honda buddies over to our forum and flame. Get the **** out of our forum, you don't see me posting **** like this in your Honda forums.

I don't have anything against Honda (the cars) but people like you are the real reason there are so many honda haters. NOt only do you have 100x the aftermarket, you all talk a lot of trash and start **** with other people. If you don't believe a kill story who gives a ****?

Go back to your clubsi forum. Post your flames about proteges there, we sure as hell don't want to hear about that **** here. We already know how 80% of honda owners are and don't want to be a part of it.
It's not about "rep", it's about the truth. My Miata could beat a Viper if the guy drove like my grandma. But, when driven properly, a stock Si will walk a Protege EVERY time!

And I have a hard time believing that you don't have anything against Hondas, noting everything you've said in this post so far.

You can have a discussion about cars, which is what I think most of us are trying to do, without getting personal. And we're not "getting up in your business". This is a public forum, is it not? You're more than welcome to come over ClubSi and be a part of our community. We have more non-Honda owners than Honda owners, I think. In any case, most of us are very open minded as long as that which is being spoken is the truth.
