Ever run against Si(R)'s?

Anyone here ever run against any Civic Si(R)'s? I keep reading how you killed a Civic EX etc with SOHC VTEC, but, I haven't read any Si stories. I have yet to race a P5, but, my friend has a nice one and i'm sure we'll run one day

Civics > Protege5 - straight road only. Protege5 > Civics on the twisties. :/

the 91-97 protege with the dohc 1.8 can take any Civic practically up to the civic ex, with the sohc vtec. and the integra LS motor. but once you go into the SI territory, there power is much higher than ours.

Yes, I do it all the time, through traffic when I'm visiting L.A. We've gotten up to 140mph (indicated); switching lanes and dodging random traffic at that speed is pretty tricky.

I meant to say, I won, but I think at those speeds it's kinda the driver.

There are no SI-r's in USA, so it's hard to say. I've raced many SI's with bolt ons and they are not a challenge at all. My P5 smoked several 3rd gen SI's last weekend at the track. I outran a 2.2L accord with a 25hp shot of nitrous. The guy claimed to only run 25shot, but his kit was closer to 50. Hondas are just dogs. Dead reliable, but not performance vehicles.

Raced one once at the drag strip, the guy was lafing when he saw he was going to race against me, you should have seen is face change when i had to put my helmet on, they are obligatory here for compact under 13.99. They always kind of change face when i do that.
