instead of buying rims, make your car a sleeper and dump alot of engine mods in

when i put stuff into to my car, i usually say it makes the car run better, better gas milage and power was the excuse i used for the intake, and then my mom wanted one in her 626 lol, or just use the its broken gotta get a new one excuse, or just flat out lie buy it and say it was alot cheaper then what you actually paid for it this one works really well

Thats my parents right there. Strict. One little thing I do wrong and they go ballistic. They said when I get my first ticket they will take my car away for three months! If I were to surprise them like that they would either (1) take the rims off without my consent and most likely throw them away. Or (2) simply take away my car for a couple months and ground me. Even though I am like a perfect kid with the perfect GPA and knowldegeble about computers and cars they are still strict. But the newest update so far is that after I buy my rims, I have to save one thousand dolalrs before I can buy the next thing for my car. Kinda sucks but I estimate this summer I should be able to make about that or more.

I am still in shock and as I write this I am almost in tears. I finally saved up enough money for my rims that I was getting. I went to tell my mom about the good deal that I got on them and how I should pay. Next thing you know we are arguing. She does not want me to "waste my money on that." She thinks it is a waste of time and money and that I should save it all up. She said she will NEVER allow me to put on a body kit. She said "OVER MY DEAD BODY WILL YOU EVER PUT A KIT ON THAT." I am not allowed to put one dollar into my car now unless it is for engine work (tune ups not performance) gas, or new tires if the old ones get bald. So I guess thats it guys. My very short stay here with you guys was good while it lasted. Half my life has just been shattered. I truly have almost nothing to make me happy anymore. All the straight A's and everything was towards this....and now...I cant have it anymore.
Your mom is right. Listen to the advice and DONT blow your own hard earned money. There are many many more important things in life that require your hard earned and diligently saved money. Put it in a bank. invest in a Fixed deposit.

Consider this:
Did your parents blow their hard earned money on stuff that was never needed in the first place?
Or did they save up so that it can be used for better things in life, such as you?

No, they didnt save up like they are telling me to. That is why they are telling me to do this so that I do not end up like them.

Actaully, I was in the same boat. Can't put nothing in my new car. Granted it's only 3 months old and I've already swapped out the exhaust, intake, bulbs and grill. My parents just cooled down after..oh let's say the intake...and they haven't bugged me about it since. I know the day will come when I do something to the car again, but oh well. I lie about prices as well hehe. And the installs..hong kong fever and pr5owner help me out so it's all good there. They know I put away money each cheque for my future so they don't bug me as much. Maybe you should put some money away or give it to your parents for keepsakes and have some left over cash to spend on the car.
