music

same here, based on mood... not too picky as long as not country.... oh, I also prefer fast pace music.

alternative rock, reggae, little bit of rap... heavy metal ... yeah.... oh, any chinese song (mandarin, cantonese, taiwanese) with strong bass... japanese is good listening too.

Have to listen to MY favorite cd of all time at least once every other month or so:
Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine .

Oh, recently hooked on to No Doubt album.... Gwen Stefani is purrrrrrr..... yummy!!!

House, trance, dance mixes linked here are pretty good.

On a side note:

My lady and I mixed our own CD for the "cocktail hour" portion of our wedding (this Sunday!). We figured it could take some of the load off the DJ, and we'd get to have our guests listen to music that WE like - kinda cool. Anyway, just for the hell of it - this is the track list - representative of the more mellow stuff we listen to:

Provider - Days of the New
Voice of Eugena - Brother Cane
Damn Good - David Lee Roth
Dreaming Tree - Dave Matthews
Sunshower - Chris Cornell
Wiser Time - Black Crowes
Lose My Faith - Sting
Weapon & Wound - Days of the New
Crush - Dave Matthews
The End - Dust for Life
What I Am - Edie Brickell
Drive - Incubus
Seasons - Chris Cornell
Near You Always - Jewel
Just The Way You Are - Billy Joel
No Excuses - Alice In Chains

We're going to be "announced" (walk into the party) to Time Stands Still by Rush (my lady's favorite band ever) and our "song", for our dance and whatnot, is Thank You by Led Zeppelin.

Well I know most people or should I say everyone here doesnt like COUNTRY music but I do. But it has a lot to do with my line of work and friendships I have grown. I am a photographer and do a lot of photography for country singers but I have also made many friendships with many country singers. All the(HOT) female country singers at least. You gotta give me some credit for that at least.

But I do listen to all other types of music. I actually can't name any type of music I dont listen to so there ya go

Hey, that's just what I listen to. Live is maybe my biggest favourite ever, also like matchbox20 and greed. I also listen to everykind of Finnish stuff, some of them are really good. You folks should try to find these (from the internet ) and listen:
-trio niskalaukaus
-viikate
-lordi (not my favourite but...)
- zen cafe (my Finnish favourite)

They all use our very strange language (except lordi) but give it a try

well I mostly listen to music in my car and only in my car, don't listen to the radio at home and I've got a slow dialup connection so I don't even touch the mp3s..

In the car, it's either CD or XM (maybe FM if I'm passing by NYC where there's good stations, but my FM antenna stays DOWN)

Southern rap, reggae music (as dublike as possible), lyrical trance, top 20s radio stuff, and drum & bass

Emotional ???? .......no way..........what's so emotional about a farmer loosing his cow or something like that...........
give me the lyrics to a single country song that has emotion and I'll agree........................

I'm big into The Hives, The Vines, and The White Stripes lately. I listen to a lot of classic rock also.

Hihosilva, that is awesome that you are walking down to Rush, they are awesome. I am going to go see them live hopefully soon, before they stop their tour. Just remember, don't mistake any Rush songs and definitely don't EXIT STAGE LEFT when it comes to the wedding. Good luck man!
