I haven't supported the republicans since Bush first took office...

I also have a problem with the republicans insistance to legislate their own personal religious (christian) views on me. Isn't that against our constitution. Isn't that why we fought to seperate ourselves from England??

Anywhoo....I'm keeping my eye on Barak Obama, John Edwards and Hopefully Carol Moseley Braun.

You're confusing the current wave of Neo-Con Republicans with traditional Conservative Republican ideals. Ron Paul was the only candidate on the stage last night that I truly believe would help us return to true Conservative values.

If Obama or Clinton end up in the White House, I'm moving to Costa Rica.

I don't think the government should be legislating morals of ANY kind...good or bad. I believe that's a parents right. Why does the government need to do anything more than decide where to spend our tax dollars and how to better protect us?? Anything more than that and I get unhappy.

p.s. I've democratic in the past 3 elections....if Clinton wins I'll be your new roomy in Costa Rica....I get the top bunk.

The legislating morals only pop up every now and then to pander to the Conservative Christian base. In the scheme of things, they're complete non-issues. The complete errosion of personal freedoms, the US becoming a debtor nation and levels of Govt spending, and citizens essentially being sold out to special interests and lobbyists - now those are far more important issues.

All these mainstream candidates will do NOTHING about those issues, it'll continue business as usual. We need a fringe candidate, I think exactly what this country needs is a Libertarian like Ron Paul.

well, let's see.

#1. When he left office we had the largest national surplus in history....in the billions.

#2. When Bush went up for re-election he had the largest national DEBT in history...in the TRILLIONS.

We went from +billions to -trillions. also, clinton was just an amazing international superpower. When he spoke people listened. When Bush speaks comedians line up for his sound bites because you know he's going to embarass himeslf and ultimately the american people.

Clinton had an affair that affected his personal life (I agree it was bad and not very presidential) however his indescretions didn't land this country in a quagmire police action in some third world **** hole country across the planet with no plan for success or retreat.

I'm not up for pulling troops out on a timeline but If I were the president I'd DAMN sure be putting Iraqi officials under the scope of when they're going to be taking over their country again.

We're caught in the middle of a civil war and we don't belong. Sure if we pull out the bad guys will take over and we'll be back at square one....but how long do we just sit around rebuild a country for these animals while they fight amongst themselves??

Enough is enough. Let's bring our boys home and focus on strengthening OUR country...not some other shithole.

oh, ps. I hate the mexicans. If I wanted to be surrounded by mexicans begging for money I'd move to tiajuana. We need a president who will secure our borders and prosecute/evict illegals NOW.

^^^ Hahaha, and you want Clinton back? Doesn't sound like you've thought this through

I'll find some links for ya on the truth about that 'surplus'. If you cook the books the right way, you can show just about whatever end result you want.

It sounds like you're a Libertarian and don't even know it.
