Grad Tonight!

Grad Tonight!
Ok, so maybe I'm not as excited as I should be, (yet) but with only 4 hours to go until we leave, it should be fun. I'll see if I can post some pics tomorrow or Tuesday (I'll need something to help me remember what I did.)
I've got everything done... Got my suit pressed, my shirt starched, my cufflinks and tie all laid out, my shoes shined, and even had time to whiten my teeth and bust out a croissant for my girlfriend! (Or is it crosage?)
Anyway, just thought I'd share my excitement. Later!

Damn, sounds like you were going to the prom instead of your graduation. ****, I wore shorts and a t-shirt to my graduation. I am still confused as to why you would need to get all dressed up in a suit and get your girl a corsage?

Well, it was last night, and I had a blast! Up here in Canada, we call grad what you Americans call "prom" I guess. The actual "walking of the stage" isn't for another 2 weeks.
The formal banquet went well with a mother-son dance, and some good classy, clean partying. At around midnight, we all left to go to the "after-grad" party at a local nightclub. It only held about 500, and there were 700 grads so it was packed. Nonetheless, we all got real drunk and had a great time dancing until like 4:00am.
After that, we all (there were 6 of us in our party) got picked up by this one girl's Dad (no one was driving) and we went back to her house. We were all still pretty drunk so we watched Jackass the movie for a bit, and gradually fell asleep. I ended up spending half the night laying on top of my girlfriend crushing her, but all 6 of us had a perect time.
Looking back, it's over. All in one night, just like that, something we've all looked forward to for close to a year has come and gone. The many pictures will last forever in my hand, but the memories of a great time and great friends will be etched into my mind for much longer. I had such a good time, and would do it again in a heartbeat. With only 11 school days left, there will be a host of exams, assignments, and goodbyes.
Many of the people I have schooled with over the past 12 years I will probably never see again. My close friends and I will remain in contact, but as we all move on to bigger and better things in life, I'm sure we will grow steadily apart. With that said, many new friends will be made just the same, but the memories I have with these people will be replaced by none other. So, grad is done, and the loose ends are becoming tied up. Another chapter in my life has been written, and although it is a very sad and yet exciting time all at once, a new chapter is yet to be written.
