Take 2 identical pics from the exact same angle, one with hood open, one with hood closed. Put 1 pic in 1 layer, the other in another layer. Select the hood area with the lasso, create a new layer through cut, set opacity to something less than 100% (70?).
Takes all of 5 minutes.
BTW, Nice idea but I doubt I want my engine compartment showing

its NOT transparent.......its TRANSLUCENT.... :{D but hey...its cool lookin. I have seen similar hoods on REAL cars....not on the street...but on show cars.
