Pic of a transparent P5 hood (photoshop)

transparent hood

I just fixed the size of the pic so it isn't so large.

Nice

But, could you make the photo a little bigger? I'm having trouble fitting just the valve cover on my 17" monitor

Take 2 identical pics from the exact same angle, one with hood open, one with hood closed. Put 1 pic in 1 layer, the other in another layer. Select the hood area with the lasso, create a new layer through cut, set opacity to something less than 100% (70?).

Takes all of 5 minutes.
BTW, Nice idea but I doubt I want my engine compartment showing

I have a tripod for my digital camera. I took one pic of the car with the hood closed and one more with the hood open. I cut out the under part of the hood and laid it on top of the pic with the hood closed. I went to the open hood layer and changed the opacity of it to 50% and changed the mode to overlay. Just do a right click on the layer and you'll see what I'm talking about. The tripod was used so the camera won't move between pics.

Yes, but your post wasn't there when I was typing it out. After it was posted, I saw what you had typed.

Yeah you're right, transparent would mean that it'd be clear.

Well, I've seen cars on the street with NO hoods on so HA!
