The longest you've been w/out your car?
Back in early March, our P5 was vandalized. Can you believe it's
still at the body shop? As, some of you recall, they slashed all four tires, pissed in the car, and cut-up the interior. Well, Mazda
now has the interior on back order.
It sucks I've made two payments almost three. And, no P5 to drive!!!!!
Sorry, I just had to rant! Thanks for listening!!!!

I dropped my car off at the body shop on April 2 to put my body kit on and I'm probably still at least a week away from getting it back. At first they said 2-3 weeks!
Riding the bus SUCKS! buthey it's cheap and I can just sit there and read instead of having to drive and deal with traffic.

um...
That really sucks for you guys, but where do you get your cars repaired so I won't have to deal with that ****.
our camry got hit last week in the bumper on a lot, dropped it off this wednesday, taking it back today.
My friends dad ran a red light and got t-boned really bad frame damage. Car was still drivable, so he kept it, it took them 1 week to get a replacment frame, and another week to get a frame machine, he dropped it off, the work was done within 4 days, everything was painted to match, and his car looks like new. so he really only missed his car for 4 days after a pretty bad t-bone, I have pics of it too.
But yeah, I can feel for you guys, it sucks to be wihtout a car, I've been wihtout mine for the last 3 days when our camry was out, and it's a pain

My first winter storm. Ran into a telephone pole. $4000+ worth of damage and no car for 3 weeks.
To make it worst, I had to cancel my Valentines date b/c I had no car.
Matter of fact I found this forum in Feb2002. Recking my car caused me to find this site, so I guess it wasn't all bad.

I think I've got you all beat. I was without my car for 9 months to the day. It was on my 94 Probe GT. Shortly after I got my car it got hailed on, first estimate was for 4600 dollars. Then, he found some other things that the adjuster missed and it took it over the 6000 dollar mark. They wanted to total out my car but they ended up not. I also had it repainted a different color and ghost stripes put on it. It was a completle repaint job, plastic and all, except for under the hood. I love my car and it's still looking great except where I got a hit and run done on my front bumper in my apartment parking lot, I have no idea who did it either but I swear they wouldn't have much of a car left when I was finished. I would never ever recommend going to the guy I went to to get your car repainted. I had always heard that he did great work but he took a little while. He told me he would have it for about 2 months maybe 3. That does not equal 9 months. I was also out of work for a month because of him and I lost out on a lot of money. He is still trying to get money from me for it and I tell him to screw himself. Ahh, hell, I'll quit ranting about this and if you want to know more of the story just let me know.

I've been without my Pro for a week getting the rear bumper replaced and painted from a rear end collision I had. I was stuck wth a Ford Focus as a rental.
I was so glad when I got my pro back. The focus was not that bad, but when you turned a corner, can you say BODY LEAN?
