Insurance Question
I'm 19 and I just bought a car by myself for the first time. For insurance, is it better to name all the potential drivers or to just tell them that I will be the only one driving it?

if you live at HOME...THE CHEAPEST thing for you to do would be to have your parents add the car to their policy and then YOU pay them the difference of what their insurance cost was with out it and now with it...
otherwise....if you are going to insure the car....its best for you to be the PRIMARY AND ONLY driver.....some companies will allow a statement something to the effect of " no drivers under the age of 25" and then you could let anyone as long as they are 25 or over drive the car....but the more POSSIBLE drivers of the car there are...the higher the insurance is going to be.

I know in NY, it is the LAW that you must disclose the names of all people of driving age in the household.
Doesn't matter if they will never drive the car, or even if they don't have a license - if they live in the home, they must be listed on the policy.
Not everyone follows this law, of course - but it is the law.
