If you go with DDR, you can get up to DDR 466 Mhz, the only problem being that it is not officially supported by any current chipset. Supposedly a BIOS update fixes some chipsets. To be safe I'd go with DDR 400 which should be compatible with what's currently out there.

On the RAMBUS side, speeds are up to 1066 Mhz, and of course only on Intel platforms.

sorry, but im not one that likes to hear liar when you guys dont even know me.
Wowie Zowie, slow down there batman, I was joking around in the first place!

As for ram, I'm running PC2700 (333), but I've heard of PC3200 (400) avaliable, yet not really supported, already. I haven't been keeping up on the new stuff since I bought my new PC, so I don't know too much about it.

Telling the facts is probably just as important which keeps people from assuming. Its cool though. as for the virtual memory thing that was in relation to this quote which wasnt yours.

"tiem to go check my systeminfo for free ram
start > run ; "CMD" ; "systeminfo"

hmm now lets see

total physical memory : 192mb
availible physical memory : 30mb HAHA

but then virtual memory is a whole different story

virt. mem. max size : 659mb
virt. mem, availible : 259mb

hehe
what else does it say about my system....hmmm....... damn I closed the command prompt already"

It says that your system is doing a whole lot of needless swapping to the HDD and that's slowing things down to a crawl.

You can grab 512 MB PC133 for about $40 nowadays. Do yourself a favor, please.

I bought an Athlon 2000+.
MSI KT333 RAID.
2x 40GB Western Digital RAID 0.
with 256MB of DDR333 RAM (need more).

The fastest DDR you could get I think is 400.
