Grad Rebate

I have one more question for all of you.
If I had three more credits I would be eligable for the grad rebate through Mazda. The guy who sold me the car told me I need to bring a copy of my transcripts...NOT my diploma. I was wondering if anyone has taken advantage of this rebate and if it mattered whether or not you actually graduated or do you just have to prove that you were in college/university for the full time.

I used the Grad Rebate when I got my Pro. Basically you have to be graduated to apply for the rebate because the transcripts indicate whether you have enough credits to have finished or not.

Also, I applied my rebate to my downpayment. I think what would be smarter is to apply the rebate against the total price of the car BEFORE Taxes. That way, the price of the car will be -$750.00 before taxes and the taxes will be slightly less also.

So basically you have to show proof (through the transcripts) that you actually did graduate from your program?

Yes, you have to show proof that you've graduated thru the transcripts.

Look at your National website: www.mazda.ca or www.mazdausa.com

They have detailed information as to what you need to qualify and what the program entails.

I'm not sure if the $750 P5 rebate can be used in conjunction w/ the Grad Rebate. Best to check it out on the net or phone Mazda North America.

I also took advantage of this deal. Well my wife did at least but it's my car.

Our sales rep told us that you had to be graduating or graduated in like a 6-month time fram although they have let few people do it later then that on extreme cases. $500 was a great bonus. All my wife did was go down and talk to her counslor stated how many credits she has and when her expected graduation was. Brought that paper in a voila free $500 off the car.

After talking the dealer down and myself thinking I'm already going to get a good deal. The financing dept told me about this option and man I was sold on the car after that as it brought my car to just over $17,000.

Was down there the other day to look at the new models of the P5's. He was outside talking to other people about the P5's as well. Well I thanked him and also helped him sell another one so I've more then thanked him now with another sell

I was able to take advantage of the $500 off grad discount. They wanted to see my diploma, or my transcript - as well as a letter from my employer stating that I indeed have a job so that I can pay for the car.

Also got a $500 rebate from Mazda - so my Black Protoge LX with alloy wheels, sunroof, alarm, ABS and side airbags cost, after tax, title, tags etc around $16000
