Even the airliners are getting riced out!

Well, yesterday, the largest comerctial airliner ever built flew. The Airbus A380 can carry anywhere from 555 - 850 people, depending on the configuration. While I was looking at the pictures of the first flight, I noticed something very interesting. How much extra HP do you think THIS rice gives to the Superjumbo?

Yeah, it better have a lot of HP, the thing weighs 1.2 MILLION pounds! Its gonna need power to lift up its own huge self, as well as the huge people inside of it! But all those stickers look like airline companies, so those are probably companies who have already purcahsed one. I beleive theirs been around like 140 purchased at a huge price tag before its first flight even happened. I've watched a few TLC and discovery channel shows about the plane and the funny thing is, that theres so many airports who's runways cant handle the weight and whos terminals cant take its size!

The amazing thing is, the Boeing 777's engines are even larger. My second week working as an aircraft refueller, I had to actually put some gas in one. The ****** holds 208,000 lbs of fuel, which is roughly the TOTAL weight of a Boeing 757! The 777-300ER's engines have an inlet diameter of somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 feet, or the same diameter of a 737 fuselage. Each engine produces 117,000+ lbs of thrust.

Its probably one of the most impressive airplanes ever, but I have to say two complete levels on an airplane is pretty damn impressive too.

iirc the first 777 engine was a GE generator.
