I will.

For those who wanna know the scoop:
I was driving home yesterday afternoon from work, when the car just shut down. No sputtering, no tell-tale signs or anything. it just shut down. I tried to restart, nada. I then checked my lights (to see if the battery just happened to die or something) no. BUT, when I tried to turn on my radio, the time came on, then it just shut off....which leads me to believe that it's something electrical related...like a short somewhere. I double checked my oil & it was good to go. no flakes of metal (so I don't think something went inside there)...I actually waiting on Mazda to give me a shout today...seems my warranty ran out in July....even though I'm way below the mileage....the factory warranty is only 3 years...man wtf!?
I'll keep you guys posted.

Dude Good luck, I hope you P5 gets resurected.

Ive been using 91 - 94 octain, since I began modding her (thinking it didnt make too much of a diference, but willing to shell out a few extra cents for the chance there is)

Well...we'll see. I just double checked to see if I have an extended warranty through CARMAX...the company that I bought the car from. Now, all the dealership has to do is find the problem...and as long as it wasn't something that DIRECTLY caused a problem...I should be good.
*fingers crossed*

Will the extended warranty cover it?

Yeah, that's a strange one you've got there. I've read about a lot of problems but never that one.
I know Ed Mann hasn't updated his FAQ for a while but did you check it out to see if there are
any TSBs that look like your problem?

Well, Mazda called me yesterday and asked if I had put in gas like they asked me to. I said yes. I put in Premium. Service manager asked from where, I said Texaco. i asked if they managed to get it started yet...they said no, but the got it to spin....wtf does that mean? Spin? I didn't even want to get into it. He did say the tech working on the wagon has 30 years experince on mazdas, and every so often, one or 2 come in that just stumps them...this happens to be one of them he said. He's supposed to touch base w/me today, so we'll see. I will keep you guys in the loop.
