Dodge has gone crazy!

Have you guys seen this Dodge Durango commercial in which a Durango passes a Porsche Boxster on a freeway, at the same time hauling a trailer, and then at the end of the commercial, supposedly, the Durango is going to take on the Carrera Cabrio, while at the same time going up the hill? This is the most absurd, and Porsche insulting commercial ever. This 5.9 Magnum V-8 Durango (included in the commercial) has nothing against Boxster. Yes, its V-8 has more ponies and torque, but really, Boxster can kill any Dodge model (except Viper) at any time of day and night. Boxster has even better mileage then Durango, and 5.9 liter Durango (aprx $39K shown) cost only $5K less then a Boxster. From now one I have a lot of beef towards Dodge. I was even beginning to like their latest models. Screw Dodge!

Dodge is making a V10 pick-up to compete with Ford's lightening which should be interesting.

Yeah, it was the Dodge Ram SRT-10. Dodge showed it last year, but I haven't heard any thing about it being sold, or at least I haven't seen one on the street.

Dodge has ALREADY had a v-10 pickup...but it was NOT a sport truck....was a less expensive option for getting more power without getting a deisel. and do not confuse the V-10 truck motor with the V-10 of the Viper...they are NOT the same engine.

yeah I know about the work truck with the V-10, but this a street truck aimed @ performance with the V-10. Its been on HP Tv or one on the TNN shows. 9 MGH @ best & its a tuned V-10 like the Viper.

But it is so insulting to a Porsche fan like me. I have nothing against Dodge, but you don't see a commercial where Suzuki Aerio passes a 360 Modena on a racetrack! That is just too funny!

Angry Dodge in the same sentence as Porsche is offensive

I won't hide my opinion (which is supported by hard data) that Dodges are pieces of ****; nearly every one of them.

Glad someone else called bullshit on that commercial, as no Dodge (as someone else said, maybe except for the Viper, but even then I might expect a Boxter S would still win) will beat a Boxter. That's the stupidest, most offensive and baseless commercial I've ever seen; along with the old Oldsmobile Achieva commercials that had some pompous guy saying something like, "Yeah, you know the Achieva stomps on the competition". The Achieva was one of the ugliest and lamest cars ever produced. Oldsmobile deserves to get axed after that ad campaign. Good riddance.

Anyway, screw "Dodge". Get out of my face with any Dodge, anywhere, even coming close to a Porsche. Yes, yes, the commercial is supposed to be a joke, maybe, but it's not funny.

And yes, I've driven a Boxter S. Yeah, it's fast, and it handles like no other.

Yep Dodges, Chrysler in general are crap. Never been in one that wasn't. I like some of the newer styling. Put a japanese engine in one of them...

Don't you guys get that commercial? Its a joke, everyone knows a porsches are known for being fast cars, and they would wreck a Durango. Its like when I joke around with my BIG friends that i can out bench press all of them, everyone knows i'm kidding (because i'm skinny, lol). If it had of been a lesser car like a civic or something the joke wouldn't work. Don't take it for more than it is.
