Can I get some history?
Was that a Protege beating a mustang 5.0? Regardless that guy is a whinner. I didn't have my bottle open? That's like losing a gun fight and saying I didn't load my gun. Then why are you there? Man alive! If you are going to race.... put your best foot forward and if you don't use all your tools don't cry about it when you get owned.
IMHO

In '95 C&D did a review of the "new" Maxima with the VQ engine. The maxima pulled a 15.0 in the 1/4, which beat what they got for the for a Mustang GT (15.3). Not only is that crazy, but it's funny at the same time. The mustang had 40 hp, but I'm pretty sure they weigh more, and the VQ has about the best torque curve ever, hehehe...
No disrepect, though. I love mustangs. They sure sound mighty sweet, too!

no offense taken at all.
i mean, they have a lot of potential and all that torque is hella fun but they aren't quick due to obesity primarily. horrible suspension too.
this was the 5.0 days though. i've not driven the newer ones apart from a 96 GT convertible with the 4.6 in it. it was pretty nice. i'm guessing the latest ones are lots of fun.

The the Pre-99 Gt 4.6 sohc engines need some work to get the HP they need. The Heads on the 96-98 4.6 is what is holding it back. Ford got 35 HP more out of the 4.6 with the new P heads. The pre-99s actually get a little more horsepower than that because of the higher compression when you put the 99+ heads on the 96-98 block.
The Mustang owner in the Video needs a kick in the nuts for being a wuss. You better not post this! Why not? BECAUSE!
On no not because.....Idiot!
