hmmm, i'm not saying you're wrong or anyone else is right, but you really can't blame the average consumer. i mean, it's on the internet...for FREE. if it was sex, i know all the hookers and escorts would be up in arms as well, but when it's free, can anyone really exhibit self-control?

i know what you're saying, but it's really not the consumer's fault. the power of FREE is extremely...um, powerful.

this is true... there certainly isn't a right or wrong answer to this issue.. I guess you just have to exhibit some self control. Something a lot of people don't seem to have.

Section 8, One King Down, Stigmata, just to name a few. I never buy their CD's, I just see their shows. I love watching 15 bands for like $10 bucks.

True, the cheap local bands are the best. I got to see Candiria and E-Town Concrete for $12. I saw Shadows Falls for $10. E-Town is coming back around me for a show and one of my friends bands is headlining for him, so I will definitely be there. It is going to be plenty violent, and I can't wait.

Well, cause of this thread I started feelin quilty about burning all my CD's off the internet w/o payin for them, so i went out and BOUGHT a new cd! woooo

It's that twist of marley cd onehawaiian was talking about. It's not really my style... at all. It's pretty lame actualy. So now I'm out the 18 bucks i spent on it, whereas if i had just downloaded it like usual, the only thing i would have lost was the time i spent looking for it.

Oh well, just thought i'd rant a little... plus it's fun to bring back dead threads

I hear ya! This thread was spreading like wildfire, then all of a sudden, POOF, everyone was done replying to it.

That sux u got burned on the disk, but u should have downloaded it FIRST, then listened to it, THEN bought it..
Or at the very least, asked to listen to it at whatever store you bought it at!

Yeah, if I download a cd first, then I don't see a point in buying one. That's why I can't download any songs from the new 2Pac album, gotta buy the original.

Oh and download some K-Os songs people, this guy's great. He's a hip-hop artists that sings and raps, and also does a bit of rock, etc. everything basically

his album's called The Exit

dude, my bad! i guess ur not much of a smooth/jazz type consumer. well, throw it up on ebay. i'm sure someone will pick it up! i like all kinds of music, and the twist kinda takes me away from mainstream stuff, but i think it's still pretty good.

ah, but to each his own...

Oh well, by the way it was described i thought i would love it, cause i like to pop in a little jazz now and then, but I'd never heard this "smooth jazz" stuff... except in elevators and while on hold. And like they say "you cant get a hit unless you swing" so i took a gamble... and now im praising the wonders of Kazaa that would have saved me the $$
