Question Need help with AT light and shifting problem

So…I’m helping my friend work on her car and I need some help. She was having problems with it stalling. Long story short, she took it in to the dealership and they told her she needs a new MAF and to have the throttle body, fuel injectors and EGR Valve cleaned. Ok…I can do that. So, that’s what I’m going to do. However, another problem that she just started having today is that her AT light is on (automatic transmission) and when you drive, the gear numbers on the dash only go up to 2…like it isn’t going past second gear. Now, I can hear her switch from 1st to 2nd. Can’t really hear a shift after that. BUT, when I got her all the way up to 60, she was handling it just fine…not the scream I expected from a car that needs to be shifted. So, I’m wondering…is this something else also wrong with her car? Or could it be that these lights are getting messed up due to all the resetting of her engine lights/error lights. (She’s reset them to see if they would stay off and they came back on). It jolts a little bit now when you put her in reverse as well. Any suggestions??
