What that heck is leatherette seats? the sales man

keeps telling me that its same as leather, a simple Google search shows leatherette is vinyl. Is he trying to rip me off? I'm looking at the 2014 S grand touring.

BTW the S grand touring shows leather trim seats.

AFAIK the seating surface on the base and back is leather. The sides and back are all synthetic leather (read: vinyl).
