I have a 2008 Mazda 3, its automatic. I was driving about 35 mph when all of a sudden it sounded like my gear shift went into neutral.

It made a loud revving sound and felt like it wouldn't go as I was pressing on the gas. I looked down to see if that's what happened and it was still in normal driving gear. No lights on the dash are on. No smells of overheating. Oils and fluids are at correct levels...

I was was able to get it home by driving slow. It doesn't make the sound unless you go over a certain mph. I'm going to have someone look at it soon. Just came here to see if anyone else has heard of this happening and what it might be.
