Headlight removal

Hey i was wondering if someone could help.

Ok my question is, how would i go about removing my headlights. Here's the why. the other day I was dropping off my girlfriend at her dorm, when i come out i notice a small crack on both my headlights. Well it seems like someone tried to break them...but somehow failed...i don't know how one fails at breaking a pair of head lights. The damage is not that bad, and there is no body damage. Seems like they where trying to break them in a hurry.

I've been wanting to buy some new halos, and well this would probably be the reason why, so I was wondering how hard it was and what I needed to do. Maybe direct me towards a diagram i could use...or step by step directions...or maybe its not even all that complicated. All help would be appreciated, thanks

To get the headlights out you need to remove the bumper. It's easy though a little tedious. unscrew all the plastic baffles under the car, and after that I believe it's held on by maybe a few screws and tension clips.

Are you saying you have halos and want to put in new ones, or you're putting in halos for the first time?

I have the stock headlights and i wanted to replce them with Halos, sorry about the confusion. I still don't know, I went to a local junkyard and the ones that the guy was trying to give me where extremely sundamaged, he said that he would give them to me for about 30 for both, sounds good, but he's not even sure if they work. I just want to replace them cuz it seems like the cracks have gotten bigger.

Thanks for the help though I really appreciate it.

XtremeMaC is an unknown quantity at this point
i've been in an accident only thing that remained unbroken/unscratched were the headlight's. they're so tough believe me, also a friend of mine tried to break his headlights with one of those huge hammer sort of things and he failed.
the fogs are not like that though...

i've removed the headlights myself. as said u need to remove the bumper. there are screws at the bottom as well. u might get away with just unscrewing the bolts on the top and slightly pulling the bumper but i don't suggest it.. it all takes at max 1 hour to unscrew them...
new headlights are pretty expensive. if it were been the rear lights there are led ones sold on ebay cheaper than originals. but headlights i dunno.. 30 bucks sounds good but how good r they?

Ok...so after careful consideration I decided to go back to the junkyard and grab the ones that the guy was selling me. In all I ended up paying about 40 for both...good deal to. The guy at the junkyard said he wasn's sure if they worked at all, but i took a chance, whats life without chances...right

So I had the headlights and last saturday (12-22) I got a good friend of mine and we replaced them, they look horrible like I said they are really sun-damaged. But guess what...they work!!! Guess i can't complian for 40 right.

The bumper wasn't hard it just took some time, all in all it took us about 2 hours, with numerous breaks to bs around with stupid crap. Like I said it looks horrible but I have headlights that aren't cracked.

I'm thinking when I get enough cash I want to get a pair of Halos, but with the ways things are going it'll be a while.

Thanks icspots and xtremeMac for the help, its much appreciated
