HELP!!! 3rd gen headlight removal...

just a small cosmetic thing....

i've got a 2001 ES with the "argent"
lamp assemblies [meaning gray areas around
the reflectors]. i've put in altezzas in
the rear and wanted to swap out headlamp
assemblies from my wife's 2001 LX [yes,
we both drive proteges] which has clear,
or more chrome-like areas around the
reflectors, to better match the altezzas.

after installing the altezzas this weekend,
i went up front to take a look at swapping
the headlights and i could not for the life
of me figure out how to remove the assemblies.

has anyone out there done this? [i know someone
has pulled theirs to yank out the amber
reflectors from the turn signals.] if so,
could you please provide some insight into
the process by which they are removed?

thanks, everyone.

i would think you have to take the bumper off. most headlights are held on with some bolts that you can only get to that way.

Remove your front bumper...should be pretty easy after that.

Please post threads in one area only. It may take time for people to respond to your post, especially if it's something not many people have done yet.
