Driver's window auto switch

Has anyone had problems with the auto switch to let the window down. It seems to stop half way for me and I wasn't sure if it is something I am doing wrong.

I had mine replaced, then they realized the motor was drawing too much power and tripping a circuit. They replaced the motor and now it's working fine.

Jinxed

I shouldn't have said it was fixed last week. First time I used it after that post I found it was broken again.

Funny thing is, if having an electrical problem in a new car is considered funny, it seems to work when there is moisture on the window.

I'm going to try to collect more data on when it works and when it doesn't before I take it back again.

This is really starting to **** me off. My friend bought an 84 Porsche 928 the same day I got my new car. Mine has been to the dealer 5 times and his 928 has been to the shop twice.

Yup, mine does that too, you have to hold it for the right amount of time or it only does done a bit. Sucks, I'll let me dealer know when I take mine in for the first service at 8000km.

im new here but this is wht the dealer in GA told me about it. the driver side window switch is designed to only move the window partway(about 2-3in) when pressed quickly. if it is held down for more than a second it should roll all the way down.

of course now that i say that out loud it does seem pretty stupid thing to do
