door molding removal..

ive seen a few mazda3 hatches with the door moldings removed (heard there only held on by double sided tape) and i must say it looks really clean without them, has anyone on this forum taken them off and have a walkthrough on how to do so,without damaging the paint...thanks.

I dont know if they are taped down but if they are... get a heat gun and GENTLY heat of a corner and start lifting and work your way torwards the end by heating evenly. Be very careful though as some heatguns will destroy paint, plastic or anything else it comes with in contact from extreme heat.
