You can lower your car on stock struts but you will end up wearing out the struts faster.

If you are looking for a lower stance with still a similar to stock ride I would recomend the Eibach pro kit. I have these on my car paired up with Koni FSD shocks. I absolutely love this set up.

Check out tirerack.com they will give you a better explination of the springs.
I got my whole set up from THmotorsports.

I hope this answers your question.

I would say about 1.5 inches all the way around. To get that I have the pro kit. It's a decent drop of 1.5 but not too much. My gf has tein springs on her tc with stock struts and they have been holding up pretty well. However it can get rough because the struts are not set up for after market springs.
