looks interesting but I don't like the idea of drilling and cutting the overflow bottle bracket. This looks like a good item for the mp3 because it is a matching yellow to the sway bar but I prefer the Injen CAI for the P5.

Mitch, does the Injen CAI have a section for a bypass valve or would the tubing have to be cut to insert a valve? Is Injen intending on making it a 3-piece set to help accomidate a bypass valve?

The Injen is a 2 piece set. The MAF fits right in the center just like the MHP & the bypass valve would go right there. No cutting required. Pretty simple. I will take some pics of how it works when I get some more bypass valves in. For now, you can look at the site & go under the Injen for sale page & there are some pics of the MAF (there is a link to the Injen tech info that has pics of all the stuff) and that will show you how the MAF works & you can see where the bypass valve would go. There are actually 2 red hoses that connect each side of the MAF to each pipe. You would end up only using 1 of these hoses & you would use the bypass valve in place of the other. So, pretty easy.

Not to mention that the MHP intake comes with the AEM bypass vavle and the K&N Cone Filter which is Rechargeable.

That is correct.
The MHP intakes ARE a FULL Cold Air System.
They DO have the AEM Bypass Valve.
They Do come with a K&N Rechargeable Filter.
And they are soon to be 50 state CARB legal thanks to Rishie. He is working with MHP to make that happen.

That's correct. I am sending in the C.A.R.B. application this week. I need to shoot it over to MHP and then once I get the systems I can smog it after its installed and hopefully it will just be processing time. Ambient temperature should be cooler in the fender than even with the stock air box, therefore I don't see why it would not pass smog.
